Fall has reached us in Nashville and the ground is covered in soggy yellow leaves.  Another world emerges when the trees throw off their leaves in favor of bare silvery branches.  Things look dirtier, more run down.  The nicest houses look shabby.  Each year we resolve to take a vacation to someplace sunny during the long winter, but we never do.  Things move from Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas faster than we can make reservations anywhere else.
